Miranda's Background
Miranda brings a combination of operational expertise, strategic insight, and public service leadership to her work at Halbach | Szwarc. With over a decade of experience guiding organizational growth, strengthening communication systems, and helping teams operate with clarity and care, she plays a central role in aligning the firm’s day-to-day work with its long-term vision.
Before joining the firm, Miranda held executive roles in economic development and digital advertising, where she designed scalable systems, built high-trust client relationships, and worked closely with leadership teams to support healthy business operations. She has advised nonprofit boards, coached teams through periods of transition, and collaborated with city leaders on regional growth strategies. In 2024, she was elected to the Sioux Falls City Council, where she continues to serve.
Raised in a family of small business owners, Miranda developed an early understanding of stewardship, adaptability, and responsibility—values that continue to shape her approach to leadership. She’s known for leading with emotional intelligence, discernment, and a belief that strong operations are ultimately about supporting people well.
She graduated with honors from the University of Sioux Falls, earning a double major in media studies and Spanish. A member of the university's honors program, editor of the student magazine, and a collegiate softball player, she completed her degree a semester early—an early reflection of the discipline, drive, and curiosity she brings to her work today.
Outside the office, Miranda writes about leadership, systems, and personal growth on her personal blog and connects with young women to lead and mentor them in their growth.
