Meet Lisa

Lisa's Background

Lisa Braet is a lifelong resident of Sioux City, Iowa, with a diverse professional background spanning education, business operations, entrepreneurship, and the legal industry. Prior to joining Halbach|Szwarc Law Firm, she taught elementary school, managed supply chain operations for a national beverage company, and owned and operated businesses. Those experiences shaped her practical, people-first approach to leadership, organization, and client service.

As Business Operations Manager and a member of the firm’s leadership team, Lisa works closely with the Chief Operating Officer to lead the execution of operational initiatives that strengthen the firm’s internal operations and support its continued growth. She oversees key financial and administrative workflows, leads operational projects, and partners with attorneys and staff to develop consistent, scalable processes that improve efficiency while enhancing the client experience.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement, Lisa is passionate about operational excellence and building systems that help both people and the firm succeed.

Outside of work, Lisa and her husband, Matt, enjoy spending time with their three children and two dogs. They love attending sporting events, golfing, traveling, and making the most of time together as a family.
